I Have Changed, And So Is The Site, Part II: Site Changes

I bet you’re noticing all these changes right about now and wondering what’s going on. Well, I have changed and therefore QueerieBradshaw.com is changing as well.

In “I Have Changed, And So Is The Site, Part I,” I explained all about the changes going on in my life, from cancer to moving to being present. It’s all there in Part I. Go read that, then come back here.

Ok, did you go?

No really, go over there.

Ok, welcome back!

So now that you know all about why the site is changing, here are the changes we’re making.

  1. Quality over quantity – we were trying too hard to produce a post a day. That made us just bust out posts without always having time to edit them properly. Now we’re going to make sure a post is amazing before it goes up. No concrete timelines, but we’re going to try to get you something once a week.
  2. A blog, not a website – websites keep you updated on what’s going on with other people. Blogs are more personal. We want to create a place where the personal is political and minority voices can be heard on an intimate level. We’ve changed the look of the site to be more like a blog, simpler and easier to read. We hope you like it.
  3. As complex as sex – yes, we will continue to talk about sex because that’s what we do best around here, but life is complex and so are we, and heck so is sex, so we’re just going to talk about important things and hope you like hearing about them. We’re frisky feminists, we’re politiqueers and we’re as complex as the sex we write about.

That about sums it up. We’re still the same main writers and we’re still accepting submissions if you’re interested in sharing your stories on QueerieBradshaw.com. We’re excited about these changes and we hope you all are as well.
